This expertly crafted Karimba (also known as a Kalimba, Mbira or Thumb Piano) is hand made from half a coconut shell and wood, is hand carved into the shape of a sea turtle, and is elaborately hand painted with bright colors using a traditional Aboriginal dot painting method. Metal keys are suspended above the acoustic chamber, and when plucked with the fingers or thumbs, it makes a delightfully rich sound! It measures approximately 10 inches long, 10 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches high. This gorgeous instrument is great for use as a decoration, and a great educational gift for children.
